About

CORE:

Trimaster Corp. was founded by Jarryd Irvine (Actualise) & Louise Strydom (Infinitude) in 2021 with the hopes of better understanding the impact of endurance- & multi-sport on mental health & cognitive awareness.

As you can imagine, this has been quite a process with many goal-posts adjusted based on the magnitude of what we wanted to achieve. Covid-19 has played a huge role on the potential success of this event, as well as periphory factors such as vaccination rollout, #unrest Rioting in July 2021, etc.

CHARITY:

Initially conceptualized in September 2019, Jarryd had witnessed the power of endurance sport through the lens of ultra-distance events. Typically what people would call ‘torture’ or ‘suffering’. Thankfully, he rests his eyes on God and knows with actionable faith that “all things are possible through Christ who strengthens him”.

“Triathlons are gruelling. Even the little ones. They really are a battle of self against the elements and whether its 90 minutes or 7 hours, you better be ready to handle anything that comes your way. I’ve always wanted to truly explore South Africa’s beautiful coastline. Now, not only will I get to do this with other people that love swimming, cycling, and/or running, BUT we get to do this for several causes greater than ourselves.”

Jarryd Irvine, Co-Founder & Director of Trimaster Corp.

COMMUNITY:

It’s not just about charity though. It’s about COMMUNITY!

What’s the survey about?
Both Louise & Jarryd have worked with many athletes over several years. Some come to stay, some come and go. The common factor is that they gain skills and positive attitudes to pursue greater things in life.
Maybe you’ve started participating in endurance-related sports and have seen the same. Maybe you have yet to see this.

We believe there is a ‘deep-learning’ process that is undertaken during the trials and struggles experienced in these epic battles of mind and body. This process results in a change in response to potential depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges. It should also allow for an optimal response to difficult circumstances one is faced with on a daily basis in work, life and leisure.

Unfortunately, there isn’t really sufficient data to suggest this is true or otherwise.
So… we need your help! We’ve developed a survey so we can begin conducting this valuable research. Complete our survey by clicking ‘Complete Survey’ below where you will be able to complete the form & get a discount 10% code for all products on the Actualise Store. Thank you in advance!!
